Smallville: 'Abandoned' – Clip

Here’s a clip from this week’s episod of SMALLVILLE, Abandoned.

Lois (Erica Durance) finds a video made for her by her mother, Ella Lane (Hatcher), before she died. After watching the tape, Lois makes a drastic decision about her relationship with Clark (Tom Welling) that takes her to the Fortress, where she comes face to face with Jor-El and Lara…
Meanwhile, Tess has a nightmare involving herself as a child and a music box. Upon awakening, she finds the music box in Luthor mansion and sets out to find out who planted it there.

Clark accompanies her to an orphanage run by Granny Goodness (guest star Christine Willes) who may not have the young girls’ best intentions in mind. One of the young women living there, Harriet (guest star Hartley), finds Clark snooping around and decides to take matters into her own very sharp hands.
Kevin Fair directed the episode written by Drew Landis & Julia Swift

SMALLVILLE airs Fridays at 8:00 PM/7 Central, followed by a new episode of SUPERNATURAL at 9:00 PM.8 Central on The CW Network.
In an interesting note, Lindsay Hartley is the wife of series star Justin Hartley — who does not appear in this episode.

Kill Katie Malone – Supernatural Thriller

kill katie malone artIndependent Production & Distribution Company American World Pictures tells us they have obtained the sales rights to KILL KATIE MALONE, a supernatural thriller.

From their press release:
“KILL KATIE MALONE stars an ensemble cast known for their hit TV shows including: Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Masiela Lusha (George Lopez Show), Stephen Colleti (One Tree Hill), Lil J (Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven) and Nick Hogan (son of Hulk Hogan, Hogan Knows Best).
The film centers on college students and best friends Ginger Matheson (Masiela Lusha), Jim Duncan (Stephen Colleti), and Kyle “Dixie” Canning (Lil J), who pool their cash to buy a “ghost” in an online auction. The three think it’s all a goof, but once they open up the antique box to examine their “treasure,” they unleash the vengeful spirit of a young girl who has been wreaking havoc on her owners throughout the generations.”

Directed by newcomer Carlos Ramos Jr., who co-wrote with Mark Onspaugh (FLIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD), KILL KATIE MALONE will be shopped at at MIPCOM and AFM.

Teri Hatcher on 'Smallville'

Hatcher_Cain_LnC,jpgEntertainment Weekly announced Teri Hatcher will play Lois Lane’s mother, Ella Lane on the CW’s SMALLVILLE.
In the eighth episode of this 10th and final season, ‘Abandoned’, Lois Lane (Erica Durance) will find video-taped “letters” from her deceased mother. Teri Hatcher will be seen on these videos.
As fans will remember, Hatcher played Lois Lane in ABC’s LOIS AND CLARK, opposite Dean Cain’s Clark Kent/Superman.
The episode is tentatively set in November.
SMALLVILLE returns this Friday Sept. 24th at 8:00 pm/7 Central on the CW with ‘Lazarus’.

The CW’s Official Description:
The season premiere picks up where the finale left off. Lois finds Clark’s (Tom Welling) lifeless body and removes the blue kryptonite enabling him to heal himself. Lois sneaks away before Clark fully awakens in order to protect his secret.
Chloe (Alison Mack) is desperate to find Oliver (Justin Hartley), so she turns to an unlikely source for answers.
Jonathan Kent (John Schneider) returns to the Kent Farm with a message for Clark, and Tess (Cassidy Freeman)  awakens in a LuthorCorp lab.

Just to bring you up to speed on the above, and why the title Lazarus is particularly apt — Clark was last seen falling off a building with a dagger of power-removing Blue Kryptonite in his side.
Oliver had disappeared, apparrently taken by force in an ultra-mundane fashion.  Tess Mercer had been declared dead, burned a crisp by Zod’s heat vision, when a strange, grandmotherly-looking type scurried into her hospital room.  And Jonathan Kent has been dead for years.
Interesting stuff.
