Hollywood Reporter tells us that that designer-turned-director Patrick Tatopoulos (UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS) is negotiating to direct THE COLONY, an ecologically-themed horror film written by Stacy Title and Jonathan Penner, with additional rewriting performed by David Lee Johnson. The story follows survivors living underground during the next ice age, struggling to defend humanity against a “savage threat.”
Production is schedule to begin this fall. Summit Entertainment, which is co-financing, will hand U.S. distribution.
