According to Entertainment Weekly,
tween vampire flick TWILIGHT: NEW MOON (2009) took the Best Movie Award at The MTV Movie Awards ceremony.
NEW MOON was directed by Chris Weitz (FANTASY ISLAND), from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg (DEXTER), based on the novel by Stephanie Meyers.
Best Female Performance went to Kristen Stewart for her role as Isabella Swan, lead human character in this second film in the TWILIGHT SAGA.
The next installment in the series, ECLIPSE, is due in theaters June 30th.
