Ratatouille still hot overseas

RATATOUILLE, the Disney-Piaxar computer-animated flick, was tops at the foreign box office for the second week in a row, earning $21.1-million at 3,416 engagements spread out over 34 territories.
RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION also did well, with $9.8-million, earned n England, Italy, and Australia.
THE ORPHANAGE, a spooky new thriller produced by Guillermo Del Toro (PAN’S LABYRINTH), had a huge opening in its native Spain, where it scored $8-million – the second biggest debut ever in that country (behind TORRENTE 3).
Two fantasy films that fared poorly in the U.S. are not doing much better overseas: STAR DUST did fair busiess: $4.7-million in 39 markets. THE SEEKER earned $2.6-million in seven markets.
