The first INSIDIOUS was a supremely spook movie, and the sequel promises to offer up more of the same, judging by these photographs. I thought the story of the original took a wrong turn in its desperate effort to provide a shocking finale, and apparently screenwriter Leigh Whannel and director James Wan agree, since INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 seems to avoid following that ending to its logical conclusion (which would have turned the sequel into a murder trial). Here’s hoping that CHAPTER 2 can deliver a good ending without resorting to another arbitrary twist.
