According to Hollywood Reporter, shooting began last week in Toronto on ORPHAN, a new horror film from Joel Silver’s Dark Castle Entertainment (which gave us remakes of HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL and 13 GHOSTS). The screenplay by David Johnson (based on a story by Alex Mace) follows in the footsteps of THE BAD SEED and THE OMEN: a couple (Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga) lose their baby and adopt an innocent-looking nine-year-old girl (Isabelle Fuhrman), who turns out to have a sinister side. Jaume Collet-Serra is directing.
