INSOMNIFEST 2008: Starting February 1, this is billing itself as the first online horror film festival.
BLOOD – THE LAST VAMPIRE: Some photographs from the live-action version of the anime film are now available on a Chinese message board. They actually make the film look good, which is a bit of a surprise, as the original is quite an over-rated, dull piece of work, with vague storytelling and non-expressive animation.
DOOMSDAY GALLERY: On his MySpace page, writer-director Neil Marshall has posted a gallery of images from his upcoming film DOOMSDAY, which opens on March 14. You have to log on as one of Marshall’s MySpace friends to access the images.
GRINDHOUSE JAPANESE DVD: E-Splatter predicts that this will be a hot-selling item on eBay.com because it features the full-length theatrical version of the film, which is not available in the U.S.
SIGNAL SONG FOR FREE: You can download Ola Podrida’s cover of the Joy Division song “Atmosphere” by clicking on the link. The song features on the soundtrack of THE SIGNAL, which is about what happens on New Year’s Eve when a mysterious broadcast transmission turns the citizens of Terminus City into homicidal maniacs.
