"Smallville" Premiere Stills Show Returning Cast Member (SPOILERS)

MILD SPOILERS ahead! Proceed with caution! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
SMALLVILLE fans rejoiced when they heard that John Schneider would be making a return appearance as the beloved Jonathan Kent during the show’s final season. Now, new stills from the CW show with Clark (Tom Welling) at the Kent farm in the Season 10 premiere, entitled “Lazarus”.
Amid what many SMALLVILLE fans have considered a low-key and disappointing marketing campaign for the series’ farewell season, these photos show that the CW hasn’t completely forgotten about the longest-running Superman TV show in the character’s 72-year history. It is odd to note, however, that while the network has been compiling and airing season premiere trailers for most of its other flagship series (VAMPIRE DIARIES, SUPERNATURAL, GOSSIP GIRL), SMALLVILLE fans only have cell-phone-quality YouTube videos of the sizzle reel shown during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic Con in July. Perhaps these shots indicate the network’s desire to get behind the show which kept them afloat during financially turbulent times. In any case, enjoy!

Kristin Kreuk, Lauren German or Paula Patton for Mission: Impossible 4

After learning of Jeremy Renner and Tom Cruise’s involvement in the future of the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE franchise, we now have word that Kristin Kreuk, Lauren German and Paula Patton are being considered for the role of a “young female operative.”
The film will be director Brad Bird’s first live action gig, and Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams are set to produce. The script was written by Andre Nemec and Josh Applebaum. Paramount is behind the film and will of course also distribute it.

"Fantastic Four" Reboot Could Feature Bruce or Kiefer as The Thing

Casting rumors for the FANTASTIC FOUR reboot have been swirling like mad lately, and a new one names Kiefer Sutherland and Bruce Willis as possible choices for the role of The Thing, according to Comic Book Movie. We’ve already learned that there are evidently plans to create an entirely CGI version of the character, so if that proves true, whoever is cast will likely serve as voice talent and/or visual reference for motion capture, should they decide to go that route.
Previous reports name Adrien Brody and Alice Eve as possible stars for the film, and recent rumors allege that Stephen Moyer is in talks to play Dr. Doom. No casting rumors are expected to be confirmed until a director is announced for the project.

"Locke & Key" TV Series?

lockekey
There has been much recent speculation that STAR TREK writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have been working on developing the popular graphic novel series Locke & Key for film. As it turns out, Kurtzman and Orci have actually decided to pursue the project as a TV series.
The graphic novels, penned by Joe Hill, son of acclaimed fiction author Stephen King, tell the story of a New England family and their mysterious mansion whose doors and magical keys play havoc with those who come across them. The series would be the product of a deal between Kurtzman, Orci, and 20th Century Fox TV and would presumably also involve Dreamworks TV.

Mark Hamill Never Shot the "Jedi" Lightsaber Deleted Scene

STAR WARS fans were delighted over the weekend when George Lucas took the stage at STAR WARS Celebration V to reveal a deleted scene from RETURN OF THE JEDI that will appear on the Blu-Ray release of the saga sometime in 2011. (Check it out here if you missed it!)
The scene shows Darth Vader attempting to communicate telepathically with Luke Skywalker while Luke builds his iconic green lightsaber. But an interview with Mark Hamill at last year’s San Diego Comic Con indicates that it may have been a stand-in who portrayed Luke in this lost scene.
What do the fans think? Does that take the shine off of this uncovered gem?
